Badidhar Fair Arki (Solan) Himachal Pradesh

 Every year annual fair is organised by local people and temple committee. Badidhar fair is one of most famous fair of Solan district. Every year people of Sarma, Deothal and Buila (Saryanj) do the same things for eight days. They play traditional music with big drums and other local music instruments. On ninth day they go to the Badidhar with their five deities "The Pandavas".

Badidhar fair is organised every year on 14 - 15 June. The fair is dedicated to the worshiping of Lord Shiva including Pandava's. A beautiful Yatra of Pandavas is done from Sarma, Deothal and Buila (Saryanj) . After the meeting of the deities, in the evening, people take the Rath of the deities and return to their places from Badidhar.On this day, people from solan as well as from all over Himachal Pradesh visit here.

A day before the fair, a Jagrata (Awakening) is organized in Badidhar. Even on this day people come here from far and wide and worship Badadeva. Langar is also organized in Badidhar. Even while going to Badidhar, langar is organized by people at many places along the way.
On fair day, traders from far and near join this fair to sell their products such as sweets, toys, readymade Garments, fruits etc. Fairs in Himachal Pradesh have very important role in social life. Himachal is known as the land of Gods.
