Jakhu Temple is an ancient temple in Shimla , and is dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Hanuman. The temple is situated on Jakhu Hill . This hill is the highest peak of Shimla. It is about 2.5 km from , east of the Ridge . It is situated at a height of 2,455 m above sea level . Every year , a fair is organised on the ocassion of Dusshehra.
There are 3 ways to reach Jakhu temple. First is to hire a taxi / cab , second is to reach temple with the help of Jakhu ropeway and third way , is to trek. The best way to reach jakhu temple is by trekking because you can watch magnificent view of Shimla and shivalik mountain range . The temple is about 2.5 km from The Ridge , Shimla .
It can take about 20-30 minutes to reach Jakhu temple by trekking
This temple is one of the most popular tourist destination of Shimla .
