Masroor Rockcut Temple , Kangra ( Himachal Pradesh )



The Masroor rockcut temples are the group of temples made by cutting of rocks and dedicated to Lord Shiva , Vishnu and others .The main temple is dedicated to Lord Rama , Lakshmana and Goddess Sita . These are the 8th century rock cut  temples in kangra distt. of Himachal Pradesh . These are the  north indian architecture styled temples . These are also known as the Himalayan pyramid . This place is the famous archaeological site of India . Every year many archeologists visit here for their research work .

Masroor Rockcut temple is about 37 km from Kangra and about 41 km from Dharamshala . It can be easily reach by bus from Dharamshala and Kangra . It can be also reach by  personal vehicle or hiring a taxi from Dharamshala or Kangra  .  It is one of the popular tourist destination in Kangra distt. of Himachal Pradesh .



Masroor rockcut temple is a protected monument . Entrance fees is compulsory there to explore the Masroor Rockcut temple. It is one of the most visiting tourist destination in Kangra ( Himachal Pradesh) .
